I had a thrilling five-week tour planned, and for our portion would dub it the “Thelma and Louise Road Trip”, named after a movie about two radical women who escape their sordid lives by crossing the border into Mexico, but end up at the Grand Canyon instead. We joked about it with growing excitement. I asked Hellena how long she wanted to join me for within those five weeks, and surprisingly she committed to the entire five weeks. Hmmmm, I thought. Let’s see how this goes. I wanted to give the idea of no solo and traveling with friends a shot.
